I live in the backwoods of Alabama, in a place that looks a little bit

like Heaven.  An extremely tolerant husband, teenage kids, and a

zoo-worthy assortment of pets complete the picture. 

In addition to writing fiction, I love creating art using clay, glass,

paint, canvas, wood, and whatever assorted junk I come across. 

Creativity breeds creativity, and the practice of each craft

enhances the other.  When I'm working with clay, my mind is busy

percolating on the next scene I'll write, so the next time I sit down

in front of the computer the words flow more easily.     

I consider the acts of writing and creating art to be integral parts

of my spiritual journey.  I read extensively on the subjects of 

spirituality (not to be confused with religion) and metaphysics, and

I believe these interests subtly influence my writing, giving it

greater depth of meaning without sacrificing the romance and

passion the reader expects.

I regularly practice Yoga and Meditation, and offer several

modalities of energy work to a handful of loyal clients.  I am a

Certified Body Talk Practitioner, and with this and other healing

modalities I help people and pets balance body.mind.spirit and

remove blocks to achieving their highest potential.

I'm always up for learning something new, as long as it doesn't

involve leaping from high places.  I believe in pursuing my interests,

wherever they may lead.  It all seems to end up in a book,

sooner or later!
